Who is Doug Maletz?An E.A. since 1983, I spent two years at UCLA before getting my B.S. in accounting from CSUN and five years of experience in the tax departments of two national C.P.A. firms before going into business for myself in December 1981. I practice all facets of taxation but specialize in individual taxation and can easily handle out-of-state returns and I.R.S. audits. Within individual taxation, I have particular expertise with firefighters, law enforcement, entertainers, grips, gaffers, realtors, mortgage brokers, nurses, teachers, hygenists, and psychologists. However, I also do tax work for fiduciaries, nonprofit organizations, corporations. S-corporations. partnerships. and homeowners associations, as well as bookkeeping and payroll services for small businesses and forensic accounting. Personally; Born in 1955 and happily married since 1977. My wife Nancy and I have three daughters and have made our home in the Conejo Valley (Southern Calif., 15 miles east of Malibu) since 1982. I am active in the community and have previously served eight years on the Las Virgenes Unified School District's Curriculum Council. In my spare time, I wrote a musical drama for the stage which was produced in the San Fernando Valley in 1993 and agaon in 2004, and my poetry can be found in several anthologies. A boat owner, my family and I are avid water-skiers, travelers, and car enthuiasts. |
